Disclosed are a method for estimating emotion based on psychological activity and biosignal of a user and a system thereof. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the method for estimating emotion includes the following steps: calculating a motion component, a motivation component, and an adaptation component through learning an affective situation of a user by using an image sequence; modeling a balance model and an arousal model based on the calculated motion component, motivation component, and adaptation component; and generating an emotion curve based on the affective situation represented on an emotion space by the modeled balance model and arousal model.
