The present invention relates to a photoalignment composition for the stabilization of the orientation and the pre-tilt angle of the liquid crystal in the liquid crystal layer. The invention also relates to liquid crystal aligning films and coating layers made from the compositions, and to the use for manufacturing optical and electro-optical devices and devices.
