The present invention relates to a Sanderia malayensis gene corresponding to seawater acidification, and a predicting method for physiological and metabolic changes in Sanderia malayensis using the same. To be more specifically, the expression level has changed for more than two times in 7 kinds of genes in a group exposed to acidified seawater of pH 7.8, 3 kinds of genes in a group exposed to acidified seawater of pH 7.6, 7 kinds of genes in a group exposed to acidified seawater of pH 7.4, and 26 kinds of genes in a group exposed to acidified seawater of pH 7.2, detected by a microarray analysis utilizing the Sanderia malayensis gene. Total 34 kinds of genes except for the genes overlapping among the genes listed above have shown changes in the expression level due to exposure to acidified seawater. Therefore, the genes can be usefully applied as a biomarker which can identify seawater acidification, and can be utilized to predict physiological and metabolic changes in Sanderia malayensis and also as a new biomaterial.
