The present invention aims to provide a novel limited proliferation-type adenovirus and a reagent for the detection of cancer cells containing the same or a diagnostic reagent for cancer. The present invention encompasses a polynucleotide comprising a human telomerase reverse transcriptase (hTERT) promoter, an E1A gene, an IRES sequence and an E1B gene in this order, and also comprising a target sequence of a first miRNA. Wherein the cloning cassette comprising the polynucleotide is inserted into the E1 region of the adenoviral genome.
