The present invention relates to an automatic calibration reverse-type weight-based precipitation meter for enabling a span calibration by transmitting a signal upon automatic calibration cycle. The weight-based precipitation meter according to the present invention includes: a water collecting container for collecting precipitation; a flow rate reducer installed below the water collecting container to reduce the flow rate of dropped water; a rainwater storage cup arranged below the flow rate reducer to temporarily store the water; a rain water storage servo-motor for switching the rainwater storage cup; a reversing cup tilted in the one direction about a rotation shaft due to the weight of the water dropped from the rain water storage cup; a reversing cup switching servo-motor for switching the reversing cup; an outlet for discharging the water stored in the reversing cup; a control unit connected to the reversing cup switching servo-motor and the rain water storage servo-motor; a load cell fixed to a lower base provided with the reversing cup; a fixing bracket fixed to one side of a base installed thereto with the load cell; a weight moving servo-motor installed on an upper side of the fixing bracket; and a weight connected to a shaft rod of the weight moving servo-motor by using a string and installed to be positioned on top of a weight plate connected to the load cell.
