The present invention relates to a gold nanoparticle core-metal / organic complex porous shell hybrid structure having multiple branches, a method for synthesizing the same, and an application of the hybrid structure. In the present invention, a multimodal gold nanoparticle (GMN) core-zeolitic-imidazolate framework (GMN @ ZIF-67) shell hybrid structure (GMN @ ZIF-67) was efficiently synthesized. Due to the structural anisotropy and uniqueness of GMNs that enable heterogeneous seed-induced nucleation, ZIF-67 encapsulation was well accomplished without the need for a separate surfactant or capping agent, which enabled the environmentally friendly use of GMN @ ZIF-67 particles . The properties (ie, crystallinity, surface area, size and shape) of GMN @ ZIF-67 can be easily controlled simply by controlling the relative amounts of GMN and ZIF-67 used in the reaction.
