Disclosed are a system and method for high-speed data transmission/reception capable of eliminating simultaneous switching noise and ISI with low cost and small area. A transmitter used in the data transmission/reception system comprises: a data mapping unit for mapping 2bits of input data to one of codes, wherein each of the codes has a voltage level of a first signal line, a voltage level of a second signal line, a voltage level of a third signal line; and a transmission driver for outputting data corresponding to the input data through the first signal line, the second signal line, and the third signal line having voltage levels corresponding to the mapped code, wherein the voltage levels are ′+1′, ′0′, or ′-1′, and the number of signal lines having a voltage level of ′+1′ is the same as the number of signal lines having a voltage level of ′-1′.
