The present invention relates to a smart device in which a photo management application is operated and a method for photo management in a smart device in which a photo management application is operated. The method is characterized by comprising: a step of receiving a choice, on a filming standby screen of a camera, as to whether to add at least one group identification information to a photo or a video, which is taken afterwards, before storing the same; a step of, when the storage after adding the group identification information is chosen, receiving at least one group identification information, whereupon one of the pre-generated group identification information is selected, or, after new group identification information is generated, the generated new group identification information is selected; a step of adding a field of the selected group identification information to a header file of the images or the videos filmed by the camera before storing the same; and a step of, when one from the group identification information is selected, the filmed images or videos matching the group identification information are extracted from the filmed images or videos based on the field of the group identification information of the stored images or videos to be displayed on the screen.
