The present invention relates to a contact lens including ceria particles, and a method of manufacturing the contact lens including such ceria particles. The contact lens containing water-soluble ceria nanoparticles of the present invention effectively removes reactive oxygen species and harmful radicals, which are indicated as causes of eye diseases, and thus is expected to be useful for prevention as well as treatment of the eye diseases.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2019
