The present invention relates to a novel Streptomyces lienomycini DS620 strain having an antimicrobial activity and an antimicrobial composition comprising an extract thereof. The DS620 strain of the present invention has an effective antimicrobial activity against various skin flora and pathogenic microorganisms, and has a strong antimicrobial activity particularly against multidrug-resistant strains. Therefore, the composition containing the extract of DS620 strain is expected to be used for various purposes such as natural antibiotic, acne treatment, cosmetic preservative or food preservative.
