Austenite steel for a high temperature according to the present invention is characterized by comprising 0.35-0.5 wt% of carbon (C), 1.0-2.0 wt% of silicon (Si), 5.0-8.0 wt% of manganese (Mn), 13.5-16.5 wt% of nickel (Ni), 20-24 wt% of chromium (Cr), 0.5 to less than 1.5 wt% of molybdenum (Mo), and the remainder consisting of iron (Fe) and inevitable impurities, wherein the ratio of the chromium (Cr) content to the carbon (C) content, C_(Cr)/C_C, in alloy elements is 50-60.
