The present invention relates to a microglial cell line for detection of reactive oxygen species (ROS) through expression of an organelle-specific HyPer gene and a method for detecting ROS using the same. More specifically, the present invention relates to a microglial cell line for detection of ROS, capable of screening a brain inflammation-inducing substance or a therapeutic agent for degenerative brain diseases by detecting ROS generated during an activation process of microglial cells through the expression of organelle-specific HyPer gene, and a method for detecting ROS using the same.
