The present invention relates to a JH7 strain in the genus Chromobacterium having antifungal activities against causative pathogens of plant diseases, and a usage thereof. The JH7 (KACC92211P) strain in the genus Chromobacterium having antifungal activities against causative pathogens of 11 plant diseases including Cylindrocarpon destructans, a causative pathogen of ginseng root rot disease is harmless to a human body, does not cause environmental pollution and has excellent control activities on causative pathogens of various plant diseases. Accordingly, the present invention is a biological pesticide for controlling plant diseases to be able to replace a chemical pesticide, and is able to be provided as a breakthrough biological control agent to prevent problems caused by environmental pollution.
