Disclosed is a high quality 360-degree video streaming method using individual transmission of an interest region and a background frame. The method in a 360-degree video content network streaming service comprises: a step of dividing an interest region and a background frame region by region from a full video by using a transcoder in an HTTP server or a streaming server; a step of encoding only the video of an FoV region of the divided interest region into a high quality video in a screen split streaming method by using the transcoder in the HTTP server or the streaming server, encoding an original video including only the background frame into a medium/low quality video, and transmitting the high quality video, the medium/low quality video, and a playlist from the streaming server to a media player, respectively and simultaneously; a step of streaming and receiving the middle-low quality video in a non-interest region and the high quality video of the FoV region of the interest region from the media player, decoding the video by being buffered, and overlaying and displaying the high quality video on the medium/low quality video in accordance with a time stamp. The image is divided into the interest region (FoV region) and the non-interest region, thereby reducing the network traffic by transmitting the non-interest region as a low-quality video and providing the interest region with streaming of high-quality video. This method streams the high-quality region of interest and the low-quality non-region of interest simultaneously, thereby reducing the problem of video quality degradation due to the change of FoV and allowing smooth viewing in the media player.
