Method For Controlling LIN Slave Unit of LIN Communication Vehicle

The present invention relates to a method for controlling an LIN slave unit of an LIN communication vehicle. The method comprises the steps of: monitoring an output signal connected to an LIN master unit and analyzing the output signal to determine a vehicle type; making an electric connection to the LIN slave unit by using a switching means when the output signal of the LIN master unit is turned off, and an engine of the corresponding vehicle is determined to be turned off; and controlling driving of the LIN slave unit by changing a transmission protocol based on the determined vehicle type. According to the present invention, it is possible to use an external device in the LIN communication vehicle from a viewpoint of a user such that various convenient functions can be provided. It is also possible to apply a single device to all types of vehicles regardless of the type of vehicle from a viewpoint of a manufacturer, thereby improving efficiency of manufacturing.
