Disclosed is a sight assisting apparatus for a vulnerable social group of sight including a removable wearable device and a control device. According to an embodiment, the sight assisting apparatus includes: a wearable device which is formed in such a form that can be worn on the body of a user who belongs to the vulnerable social group of sight, photographs images from the front surface of the user, and outputs auditory information generated through the control device; the control device which recognizes visual information including at least one of an object, a character and a depth through an artificial intelligence-based mechanical learning from photographed image data, and converts the recognized visual information into the auditory information; and a connection part which connects the wearable device and the control device. The sight assisting apparatus according to an embodiment removes inconvenience felt by the vulnerable social group of sight in daily lives and enables the vulnerable social group of sight to be well adopted to the environment.
