The present invention relates to a technology for generally calibrating settings of a surround view monitoring (SVM) system and, more specifically, to a technology which performing a process of photographing a plurality of markers installed around a vehicle with a camera of an SVM system and deriving a homography transformation attribute mapping a marker image to standard marker coordinates with respect to the cameras so as to automatically attain calibration of the SVM system. According to the present invention, without manual interference of external engineers, a software process is executed to photograph a plurality of markers installed around a vehicle with a camera of an SVM system installed in the vehicle and derive a homography transformation attribute mapping a marker image to standard marker coordinates, thereby automatically attaining calibration. Moreover, the process of individually calibrating an SVM system installed in each vehicle is quickly executed on a vehicle manufacturing line, thereby reducing manufacturing costs of a vehicle.
