The present invention relates to a composition for detecting foot-and-mouth virus Asia1 comprising a specific monoclonal antibody against foot-and-mouth virus Asia1 and a kit for detecting foot-and-mouth virus Asia1 using the monoclonal antibody, more specifically, foot-and-mouth virus Asia1. By developing a diagnostic kit that can discriminate only foot-and-mouth virus Asia1 serotypes by utilizing the characteristics of specifically binding monoclonal antibodies, rapid initial preventive measures can be performed to prevent the spread of the disease.
