Development of microfluidic platform for producing astaxanthin and its application to enhance astaxanthin production

The present invention relates to a microfluidic platform for producing astaxanthin and a method for producing astaxanthin using the same. Specifically, the present invention relates to a microfluidic platform for producing astaxanthin through microalgal culture, consisting of a substrate; a plurality of microfilms patterned and fixed on the substrate; and a glass slide positioned on the microfilm and capable of applying constant pressure, wherein the microfilm has a height of 10 to 20 μm. The present invention also relates to a method for culturing microalgae for astaxanthin production using the microfluidic platform; and a mass production method of astaxanthin, comprising the step of extracting and separating astaxanthin from the cultured microalgae, using the microfluidic platform of the present invention.
