The present invention relates to a system for preventing dementia and managing safety for the elderly, including an elderly management system which receives information and a health state with respect to an elder user from a voice recognition smart mirror by communicating with the voice recognition smart mirror installed at a residential area of the elder user, and manages to provide contents for a brain activity to the voice recognition smart mirror, while monitoring safety of the elder user. The elderly management system comprises: an elderly information management unit which receives information from a voice recognition smart mirror installed at the residential area of an elder user to manage information with respect to the elder user, manages the health state of the elderly from the voice recognition smart mirror, and manages to provide contents for a brain activity to the voice recognition smart mirror; a monitoring unit which monitors and analyzes used log information provided from the voice recognition smart mirror, monitors and manages the state of the elder user, and manages an emergency and safety of the elder user; and a database unit which stores the information used or acquired by the elderly information management unit and the monitoring unit and the contents to be provided to the voice recognition smart mirror. Therefore, the present invention functions as a dementia preventing machine for the elderly, and can help the elder user prevent or be diagnosed with dementia by providing various contents including contents related to a brain activity which is helpful in preventing or diagnosing dementia in the elderly.
