Disclosed herein are a method and a primer set for determining species of plants in genus Paeonia. The primer set for determining species of plants in genus Paeonia according to an aspect of the present invention may be used to determine species of plants in genus Paeonia. In particular, since each species can be detected with high accuracy, the present invention can be utilized to determine whether the different species are mixed. The primer set is for discriminating Paeonia lactiflora, Paeonia veitchii and Paeonia obovata.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2020
