Disclosed are an agent management method and apparatus based on a firefly algorithm. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the agent management method comprises the steps of: receiving unique signal strength assigned to an agent and a node to be connected to the agent; connecting the node and the agent based on a location of the agent, the signal strength assigned to the agent, and the signal strength assigned to the node; and synchronizing the agent with the node.
