The present invention relates to a V-groove brake type descending lifeline and, more specifically, to a V-groove brake type descending lifeline capable of increasing the number of stories for fire evacuation. To achieve the purpose, the present invention includes: a first pulley rotated around a first rotary shaft, and on which a first wire is wound; a second pulley rotated around a second rotary shaft, and on which a second wire is wound; a fixing member connected with the first and second wires and including a ring; a first brake wheel including a first groove formed on the circumferential edge; a second brake wheel including a second groove formed on the circumferential edge; and a brake plate placed between the first and second brake wheels, and generating braking force.
