Stage separation system of a launch vehicle

The present invention relates to a projectile stage separation system and, more specifically, to a stage separation system using Lorenz power. The projectile stage separation system includes: a body; an operation coil formed to form a magnetic field when a current flows; a separation stage forming an operation coil storage part combined with the body to store the operation coil along with the body, and including a working surface placed adjacently to the operation coil to enable a current induced by a magnetic field formed by the operation coil to flow; and a power supply device connected with the operation coil. When a current flows in the operation coil, Lorenz power is applied to the working surface to cut the working surface, so a part of the separation stage can become far from the body. According to the present invention, since Lorenz power is applied directly to the separation stage, the structure of the stage separation system is very simple. Therefore, miniaturization and low-cost manufacture are possible.
