The present invention relates to a device which measures severity and cause for sleep apnea to provide a treatment plan and a method thereof. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the device for measuring sleep apnea severity comprises: a breathing management unit injecting air to a subject and collecting a breathing parameter of the subject based on the injected air; a plurality of electrodes attached to at least one part of a chest and a neck of the subject; an electrical impedance tomography (EIT) data processing unit measuring one of current and voltage from the at least one part through the attached plurality of electrodes so as to generate image data with regard to the inside of the subject; and a control unit controlling the breathing management unit, controlling the injected air, and quantifying the generated image data and the collected breathing parameter in accordance with the controlled air so as to measure a degree of the sleep apnea severity of the subject.
