The present invention provides a content service providing method using a subscription time-based charging platform. According to the present invention, the content service providing method comprises the steps of: receiving selection of content from a user terminal; in order to charge for the selected content, selecting either a non-stop mode which is charged for each unit time or a high-stop mode which is settled based on a viewer activation time for outputting the content from the user terminal; charging a subscription time based on a subscription method selected by the user terminal and requesting payment to the user terminal, and charging or subscribing the subscription time when the user inputs or selects payment method information from the user terminal; and starting counting so that the charged subscription time decreases from the time of outputting the content at the user terminal based on the selected subscription method, and stopping output of the content when the charged subscription time is exhausted.
