The present invention relates to a floating roof type oil storage tank, which comprise: a main body in which oil is stored, a gauge pole installed in the main body and having a plurality of slots, and a gauge pole cover surrounding the outside of the gauge pole; and a floating roof moved vertically along the gauge pole and a transition box installed on an upper surface of the floating roof. A fixing plate in which a plurality of roller brackets for support a guide roller are installed protrudes upwards from the floating roof. The transition box has an edge portion clamped or bolted to an edge portion of the fixing plate to prevent fire and reduce operating costs when fixing the transition box to the floating roof.
