LINKING WEB EXTENSION AND CONTENT CONTEXTUALLY

Web extensions and content are contextually linked. The conversation between the content and the user launches a process from the web extension to match the regular expression rules to the portion of the content. The entity that matches the regular expression rule is recorded and sent back to the web extension. The matched entity is incorporated into the rule. The consolidated rule is displayed in the web extension window. Integrated rules and objects are highlighted in the web extension pane and content pane, respectively. Highlighted objects and highlighted rules show contextual links between web extensions and content.
