Apparatus and Method for Providing reading educational service using Electronic Book

The present invention relates to an apparatus for providing a reading education service using an electronic book and a method thereof. The method comprises the steps of: displaying, on a screen, at least a portion of electronic book data selected by a reader; recognizing a position of the iris of the reader in the face of the reader staring at the electronic book data to identify a location corresponding to the location of the iris of the reader on a page displayed on the screen; and tracing a location read by the reader on the page displayed on the screen while identifying the location corresponding to the location of the iris and differentially displaying the electronic book data at the location corresponding to the location of the iris of the reader on the page displayed on the screen. The method for providing a reading education service using an electronic book enables the reader to receive on-screen feedback of changing a text color on the screen while the reader reads the electronic book data, thereby enabling the reader to have more fun with reading an electronic book through the screen.
