FIELD: veterinary medicine.SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to veterinary science and represents a preparation for treating respiratory diseases in horses, such as pneumonia and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease containing an alcohol extract of reindeer antlers, arabinogalactan, nipagin and physiologic saline, wherein the components in the preparation are in a certain ratio, wt. %, and a method of treating airway diseases in horses, such as pneumonia and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, comprising administering said preparation in dose of 5 ml per head, 3–4 times, every 5–7 days.EFFECT: group of inventions widens range of agents and methods for treating diseases of horses’ respiratory system, such as pneumonia and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, higher clinical effectiveness, reduced recovery time.2 cl, 4 ex, 4 tbl
