METHOD OF CREATING A SYSTEM OF PASTURE FOREST BELTS WITH ARRANGEMENT OF GREEN UMBRELLAS IN THE DRY-STEPPE ZONE OF THE SOUTH OF THE MIDDLE SIBERIA

FIELD: agriculture.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture and can be used for melioration of pastures in the dry steppe zone of the south of Central Siberia. Method of agroforestry improvement of pastures includes the use of pasture-protected forest belts from the dwarf elm and redhaw hawthorn, green umbrellas from the poplar of the white pyramidal form in the interborder fields, which allow to increase the life span of woody plants in extreme dry steppe conditions. On the pasture, green umbrellas are formed, which provide an opportunity for animals to rest on pasture, a group of 80–150 pcs. woody plants, arranging them with an elongated rectangle 50×60–60×140 m at a distance between the trees of 6–8 m, creating a “wind corridor” in the inter-band field, occupying 25–30 % of the transverse profile. Pasture forest shelter belts with sparse placement of main tree species 4×4 m. Marginal rows in the form of hedges, preventing the penetration of animals deep into the strip of 4 rows of bushes, placed in checkerboard order 1×1 m with trimming at an altitude of 0.3–0.5 m to form sprouts.;EFFECT: creation of conditions for optimal functioning of the system of protective forest plantations, prevention of premature death of the main pasture shelter belts, improvement of their sanitary condition, protection of animals from heat and increase in the productivity of animals.;1 cl, 1 dwg
