Ribs (32–36) include inner portion (40), transverse portion (42), and outer portion (44). Recessed ribs (32–36) contain upper and lower walls that converge at the point where they are connected to the main wall.;EFFECT: reduced deformation of the fuel tank and loosening of the contact of the fuel filter with the side member during a perpendicular lateral impact test at 50 miles per hour.;16 cl, 3 dwg
