FIELD: education.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of memorizing words in a foreign language by audiovisual transmission of information using a multimedia device. Method envisages reproduction of a foreign song by an audio device of a multimedia device and synchronous demonstration of text subtitles relating to foreign song words on a multimedia device display. Subtitles are displayed simultaneously in the form of blocks (1) arranged one under another, each of which contains a fragment of the song text and consists of three separate lines: line (2) of a song text in a foreign language, line (3) of translation text into a native language and line (4) of recording a phonetics of words of a foreign song in symbols of the alphabet of the native language, which corresponds to the middle line of block (1). Block (1) is divided into columns (5), in each of which for line (2) of text of a song in a foreign language one word or phrase of a text fragment is given, and for translation lines (4) and phonetics (3), translation and phonetics of said word or phrase are respectively translated. Neighboring columns (5) and lines (2, 3, 4) of one block (1) are visually separated from each other. During playback, current subtitle block (1) is visually separated from other blocks. At that, at least one listening of the song with synchronous repetition of the text aloud is performed with simultaneous viewing of subtitles so that during the block sounding it is possible to concentrate visual attention separately on each column (5) of this unit, as well as entirely on line (3) of phonetics of this block.;EFFECT: increased volume of digestible information transmitted in audiovisual form, directly at the moment of song reproduction, expressed in number of memorized foreign words after single and/or N-multiple listening of a song, as well as shorter time required for memorizing foreign words.;5 cl, 6 dwg
