FIELD: metallurgy.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to continuous casting. When converting single-slab installation (1) into multi-strand grading unit (101) of continuous casting, water supply is disconnected from crystallizer (2), hydraulic system from swinging unit (3), crystalliser (2) and unit (3) are dismantled and mounting support frame (111) of installation (101) is mounted by means of its connection to bed (6). Crystalliser (102) of plant (101) and unit (103) of crystalliser swinging (102) are mounted for each sort billet, at that blocks (103) are connected to support frame (111). Water supply is connected with crystallizers (102), and hydraulic system - with units (103). Water supply and hydraulic system are disconnected from hydraulically adjustable segments (4). Segments (4) are disconnected from rear carcass (7) and removed. Roller pairs (104) of installation (101) are connected to frame (7), cooling nozzles of roller pairs (104) are connected to water supply, exhaust units (108) are connected to frame (7) and connected to hydraulic system.;EFFECT: reduction of time for conversion of single-slab assembly into multi-pass variety plant and vice versa.;12 cl, 4 dwg
