FIELD: agriculture.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture and concerns a method for differential control of water supply for wide-coverage sprinklers. Method includes measurement of soil moisture in field conditions continuously and independently and determination of required amount of water for irrigation. For this purpose, the NDWI index is measured using brightness of near-infrared spectral line pixels, as well as brightness of green spectrum spectral line pixels. Humidity measurement is carried out using images of a spectral chamber with a diffraction nozzle installed on a support bar of a sprinkling machine. Obtained images are processed by a computer and normal-open sprinkler valves are adjusted to optimize water flow for soil irrigation.;EFFECT: reduced consumption of water and reduced amount of consumed energy.;1 cl
