FIELD: manufacturing technology.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of obtaining compounds of complex oxides with a garnet structure containing rare-earth elements, which can be used in the technology of synthesis of optical ceramic materials of laser quality when creating active bodies of solid-state lasers of different geometries. Initial solution of chlorides of required cations (yttrium, aluminum and rare-earth metals) is obtained by dissolving oxides of yttrium and rare-earth elements in concentrated hydrochloric acid, solution is evaporated and sprayed into 25 % aqueous ammonia solution containing hydrogen peroxide solution in volume ratio of ammonia solution: hydrogen peroxide solution from 2:1 to 3:1, as well as crystalline carbamide in amount of 90-1-100 g per 1 l of 25 % aqueous ammonia solution. Obtained residue is decanted in deionised water to pH=7. Moist precipitate is dried in vacuum drying cabinet at temperature of 60–80 °C.;EFFECT: by calcination at 1,750 °C 100 % of the target product (cubic yttrium-aluminum garnet) containing no extraneous phases is obtained from such a precursor.;1 cl, 3 ex, 1 tbl, 6 dwg
