A circuit arrangement (1) for avoiding potential-induced degradation of a solar module (7), in particular as part of a string, has two input terminals (2a, 2b) for electrical connection to the solar module (7) and two output terminals (3a, 3b) for electrical connection with other solar modules (7) of the string or with an inverter (11).
