The invention relates to a shoe having a shoe element and an outsole, particularly for use for a virtual reality system for simulating walking and running activity without substantial change in location of a user of the shoe, wherein a device is provided which is structured such that the shoe, together with the user, can be traced back to a defined location, without action on the part of the user.
