The present invention provides a rapid registration method for computed tomography images. The method is mainly based on an iteration algorithm. In this algorithm, the conventional problem of three-dimensional image registration into two-dimensional image registration is simplified by previously correcting the Y-axis offset and φ shifts of each projection intensity image using a collinear concept, thereby making the originally complicated registration for computed tomography images faster and more reliable. Further, the hardware requirements imposed on tomography and computing devices can be drastically reduced, so that the invention can be more easily used for other three-dimensional computed tomography technologies such as laboratory-grade x-ray and electron tomography.
