A system includes a first webbing delivery sensor and a belt wear condition module. The first webbing delivery sensor may detect a first webbing delivery of a seatbelt associated with a seat of a vehicle. The first webbing delivery is a first length of seatbelt webbing released from a first safety belt retractor. The seat belt wear condition module may determine whether the seat belt is properly seated based on the first webbing delivery. The system may further include a second webbing delivery sensor that detects a second webbing delivery of the seatbelt associated with the seatbelt. The second webbing delivery is a second length of seatbelt webbing delivered by a second safety belt retractor. The seatbelt wear condition module identifies whether the seatbelt is properly seated based on the first webbing delivery and the second webbing delivery.
