The present invention provides a charging system (10) for charging a first battery (B1) of an electric vehicle (F1) comprising a foreign motor vehicle (FK1) with an electric machine (EM1) by means of which a traction drive of the foreign motor vehicle (FK1) is drivable. and a fuel cell (BZ), by means of which a first energy flow (E1) for operating the electric machine (EM1) and for charging the first battery (B1) can be generated; a first charging interface (LS1) on the foreign motor vehicle (FK1), by means of which the first battery (B1) can be electrically connected to the foreign motor vehicle (FK1) and to the first energy flow (E1), the first charging interface (LS1) being connected to the first energy flow (LS1) E1) is connected; a second charging interface (LS2) on the electrically powered vehicle (F1), which is connected to the first battery (B1); and a charging cable (LK) which is connectable to the first charging interface (LS1) and to the second charging interface (LS2).
