The invention consists in propelling an arrow (1) using a crossbow (17) or an arc in a nest of hornets. This boom is provided at its end with a container (13) filled with a suitable amount of insecticide in the form of powder, liquid, or SO2 gas. This form of implementation makes it possible to eradicate the nests located at the top of trees (19) difficult to access by other means. According to the invention, this method consists in propelling an arrow (1) equipped with a pyrotechnic device to distribute the insecticide in the nest (18) and thus contaminate the entire colony by mutual contact. The propulsion of the boom (1) is preferably performed with a crossbow (17) with LASER pointing and firing scope (20) for optimum accuracy.
