The object of the invention is a method of selectively hiding a light guide of transparent polymeric material provided with light scattering portions of depositing ink on one or more localized areas of the light guide to mask said one or more areas and render them unfit to diffuse light. The invention further relates to a light guide provided with diffusion portions which includes masked areas by the method of any one of the preceding claims.
