The present invention relates to a trap for immobilizing a burglar or anyone trying to illegally access an object or a room. It immobilizes this person without injury or damage at the time of arrival of law enforcement or legal owners of the object or room. The invention consists of a box (1) in which is placed a "bait" (12), ie an object of value or having the appearance: a jewelry box, a gold bar dummy or a bundle of banknotes for example. When the malefactor seizes the object, he triggers a mechanism of jaws (2) that clasp his wrist and holds him prisoner. This trap can surprise the perpetrator "hand in the bag" which avoids any challenge to the offense.
