The invention relates to a method for calibrating a scintillator gamma (4) spectrometer (8), the method comprising: - emitting UV radiation in the form of photon pulses, each photon having an energy greater than or equal to at an ionization energy of the scintillator (8), the photon pulses being able to generate, upon their reception by the gamma spectrometer (4), a spectrum exhibiting at least one peak of interest at a corresponding reference energy; from a scintillation current resulting from a detection of the photon pulses by the gamma spectrometer (4), calculating a spectrum exhibiting each peak of interest at a measured energy; for each peak of interest, comparison of the corresponding measured energy with the corresponding reference energy; and - from the result of the comparison, determining a gain (G) of the gamma spectrogram (4) to match, for each peak of interest, the measured energy with the reference energy.
