The invention relates to a method of manufacturing an adhesive for bonding abradable felts comprising the supply of an aluminum powder (Al), the supply of a zinc oxide powder (ZnO), the supply of 'a silicate (SiO42-), and a mixing step comprising a first mixing step during which the aluminum powder is mixed with the zinc oxide powder to form a first component, then a second mixing step during which mixing the first component with a second component comprising said silicate, whereby the adhesive is obtained. The invention relates to a two-component kit comprising the first component and the second component indicated above. In particular, hexavalent chromium (CrVI), which can have an adverse effect on health and the environment, is not present during the process either in the kit or in the adhesive obtained.
