The present invention relates to a method for calibrating a gyrometer (11) fitted to a vehicle (1), the method being characterized in that it comprises steps of: (a) Acquisition - by the gyrometer (11), of a measured angular velocity of the vehicle (1), and - by measuring means (20) of at least one magnitude representative of the angular velocity of the vehicle (1), measured values of said at least one magnitude representative of the velocity angular of the vehicle (1); (b) Determining by data processing means (21) values of at least one calibration parameter of the gyrometer (11) minimizing a difference between a first estimated second angular velocity of the vehicle (1) and a second estimated angular velocity of the vehicle (1), the first estimated angular velocity of the vehicle (1) being a function of the measured angular velocity and of the calibration parameters of the gyrometer (11), and the second estimated angular velocity of the vehicle (1) being a function of the measured values of said at least one magnitude representative of the angular velocity of the vehicle (1).
