For clutter reduction in ultrasound elasticity imaging (42), the contribution of clutter to different frequency components (e.g., the transmission fundamental and the second harmonic generated by propagation) is different. As a result, a difference of the determined displacements (40) at the different frequency bands is used to reduce (41) a contribution of clutter to displacements used for the elasticity imaging (42).
