The present invention relates to resource allocation systems and methods for performing a simulation. These include receiving a simulation to be performed, calculating the initial execution of an initial time step of the simulation, determining the total execution of the simulation on the basis of the initial execution, the selection of an execution model based on the initial time step, the total execution, or a parameter of the simulation, the identification, based on the selected execution model, of an allocation of a resource providing an increase in the execution speed, the allocation of the identified resource and the realization of the simulation using the allocated resource.
