Alternative biomimetic stent for glaucoma internal drainage

Provided are a method for manufacturing an inner drainage biomimetic stent for glaucoma and use thereof. The inner drainage biomimetic stent for glaucoma comprises: a cylinder tube body (1) with a hollow structure, and a plurality of straight tubes (2), provided inside the hollow structure of the tube body (1), for supporting a tube wall (3) of the tube body (1). Proper placement of the inner drainage biomimetic stent for glaucoma can direct an aqueous humour to smoothly flow, through an orifice expanded by the biomimetic stent, into Schlemm's canal. A collapsed Schlemm's canal is re-expanded by the flow of the aqueous humour to direct the aqueous humour to a collector canal and an aqueous, thereby lowering an intraocular pressure and achieving the goal of glaucoma treatment. The present invention preserves an advantage of a non-penetrating glaucoma surgery and significantly lowers surgical costs and patient expenses for the surgery. The invention can be used in combination with trabeculectomy to expand the indications thereof, and provide a novel approach for glaucoma treatment.
